Lenticulair Cloud
Kinetic artwork at The Edge Building, Amsterdam

Lenticulair Cloud is a kinetic installation in which different images emerge over a day. The artwork consists of 34 hanging and rotating panels that form a ‘cloud’ in the 50m high atrium.

Each triangle’s surface is ‘lenticular’; a medium known for its use in postcards where the image changes when moving around the card. The lenticular surface holds ten images, that are visible under different viewing angles.

Lenticular Cloud thus forms a combinable visual database with 10^34 = 10.000.000.000.000.000.000.000.000.000.000.000 possible appearances.
